Tool Development of Job Analysis on Integrated Nursing and Caring Services

Abstract
|
|
|
Purpose: This study was to develop nursing job tool by analyzing the duties and tasks of integrated nursing and caring services units.
Methods: Job analysis was through literature review and comparing with records written by integrated nursing and caring services units. After that, experts reviewed and revised tool in order to increase validity.
Results: Nursing job developed was 14 duties and 135 tasks. Each nursing duties were that respiration and circulation care had 17 tasks, medication and transfusion duty had 18, safety care had 16, measurement and observation had 11, nutrition care had 4, excretion care had 13, hygiene care had 6, exercise and activity had 5, comfort care had 8, communication had 6, patient care management and information management had 7, spiritual support had 4, environment facilities and material management had 8, administration and management had 12 tasks.
Conclusion: Nursing duties of respiration and circulation care, safety care and communication were increasing tasks comparing to draft. Environment facilities and material management and administration and management duties were newly developed after analysing written nursing records.
